Day 1: Arrive Marrakech; explore medina guided tour

Firstly our 9 DAYS DESERT TOUR AND IMPERIAL CITIES start in the Afternoon to explore several places:

Begin at Koutoubia Mosque, the renowned landmark structure in Marrakech, and be in awe of this
engineering feat and historical masterpiece. Then head towards Bahia Palace, one of the best   preserved historical sites and certainly most interesting in Marrakech.
Visit the Saadian Tombs which is a major sight to see in Marrakesh. A short walk from the main
square reveals what was hidden for nearly two-hundred years.
Complete your tour with a view over the plaza of Jemaa el-Fnaa, this is a prime spot for people watching in one of the city’s liveliest spots. Watch as the buzz of daily life unfolds among the
market stands and streetscapes below.

Day 2: Marrakech – Ait ben haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades

Our 9 DAYS DESERT TOUR AND IMPERIAL CITIES continues from your accommodation in Marrakech
to the Ksar of Aït-Ben-Haddou through the Tizi N’tichka Mountains. Once you get across the High
Atlas of Morocco, the Ksar of Aït-Ben-Haddou would be your next destination. You are most welcome to
discover the beautiful landscapes in this village through an hour walking tour. This particular
village can be found on the southern slopes of the High Atlas. More precisely, it is located in the
foothill area in the Province of Ouarzazate and it is the most popular one in the Ounila Valley. It is
home to a historic series of kasbahs, you can see a touch of southern Moroccan architecture.
Besides the houses surrounded by defensive walls, you will also find a river and a good restaurant
where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view over the village of Ait Ben Haddou. After lunch, we
continue our journey to Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah Taourirt. After a visit to the cinema studio,
we will head to Dades Valley, known as the Valley of 1000 Kasbahs to spend the night in a hotel in a
fantastic canyon.

Day 3: Dades – Todra gorges – Merzouga

After a delicious breakfast accompanied by fresh air, we will take a short walk in the fields near
your accommodation. Then we continue 9 DAYS DESERT TOUR AND IMPERIAL CITIES to Merzouga.
After a drive from Boumalne Dades to Tinghir, we can visit another great tourist spot in Morocco
known as the Todra Gorge. Located on the east side of the High Atlas Mountains, this place is very
famous for its canyons. The great view of the canyon has made it one of the most spectacular ones

on the planet. Later we will head to Erfoud and on the way. We will see a unique irrigation system.
We stop in Rissani to visit its main attractions and continue our way to the desert village
of Merzouga. Once we reach Merzouga, we will go to the desert camp on camelback before sunset.
This is a must-do activity as it is one of the most exciting.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz Valley – Boulaajoul

From Merzouga, head west toward Rissani (about a 45-minute drive). Rissani is a historical town
known for its ancient kasbahs, lively souks (markets), and being a key stop on the old caravan
routes. Along the way, you’ll pass through desert landscapes and small Berber villages,
experiencing the stark beauty of the area. Visit the Souk: Rissani is famous for its traditional
market, which is especially active on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Here, you can shop for
local products such as dates, spices, textiles, and handicrafts. After exploring Rissani, you’ll
continue your journey south and east toward the Boulaajoul region. on the way we see great
locations like Erfoud, the Ziz valley.The road will begin to climb toward the High Atlas Mountains,
offering more varied and dramatic landscapes.

Day 5: Boulaajoul – Ifrane – Fes guided tour

After breakfast in the hotel, continue our way to Fes; Once we get to Azrou, you have a great
chance to see the Berber monkey groups in the cedar forest. Before we actually reach Fes, we drive
to Ifrane. Ifrane is locally known as “Little Switzerland”, a winter ski area, built in a beautiful style
by the French. Then drive to meet your local guide in Fes, to explore the Medina.

Day 6: Fes – Chefchaouen

The journey to Chefchaouen takes around 4-5 hours by car, depending on road conditions, and
covers about 200 kilometers (125 miles). The route takes you through both flat plains and
mountainous regions, offering scenic views of Morocco’s natural beauty. Then drive to meet your
local guide in Chefchaouen, to explore the Medina.

Day 7: Chefchaouen – Rabat – Casablanca

The drive from Chefchaouen to Rabat takes around 4-5 hours (about 240-250 km), and you’ll travel
through the scenic Rif Mountains and the plains of northern Morocco.
Rabat, Morocco’s capital is a city that beautifully blends modernity and history. It’s one of the
country’s most relaxed cities, with a rich cultural heritage and impressive landmarks. Some key
places to visit in Rabat include:

The Hassan Tower: A monumental minaret that was intended to be part of a grand mosque.
The tower is one of Rabat’s most iconic landmarks and is located in the Hassan II Mosque
complex.
Mausoleum of Mohammed V: Located nearby the Hassan Tower, this mausoleum is the final
resting place of King Mohammed V, the grandfather of modern Morocco, and his sons. It’s an
important historical site with stunning architecture.
Kasbah of the Udayas: This picturesque fortress is situated at the mouth of the Bou Regreg
River, offering beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and the city of Salé across the river.
Wander through its narrow streets, and enjoy the tranquil gardens and cafes.
After exploring Rabat, you’ll continue south to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic
capital. The drive from Rabat to Casablanca is about 1.5-2 hours (approximately 85 km), and it’s a
smooth, easy route along the A1 highway.

Day 8: Casablanca – Marrakech

Casablanca is a bustling, modern city known for its cosmopolitan atmosphere, art deco
architecture, and vibrant nightlife. Here are some of the must-visit sites in Casablanca:
Hassan II Mosque: One of the largest mosques in the world, Hassan II Mosque is located
right on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. Non-Muslims can visit the mosque on guided tours,
and the stunning architecture, with its towering minaret and intricate mosaics, is not to be
missed.
Corniche and Beaches: Casablanca has a stretch of coastline with beach resorts,
restaurants, and cafes. The Ain Diab area along the Corniche is a great place to take a
stroll by the ocean, relax in a seaside cafe, or enjoy the beach.
Place Mohammed V: The main square in Casablanca surrounded by grand colonial buildings,
fountains, and gardens. It’s a great spot for people-watching and experiencing the city’s
vibrant energy. In the Afternoon, drive to Marrakech.
