This 4-day trip from Marrakech to the dunes of Merzouga through the gate of the desert Ouarzazate. The oasis of green palm trees, the beautiful Kasbashs, the Berber villages, and Valleys is the best way to discover: authentic Morocco, the way of life of the Berber nomads, the local culture during an animated evening by the nomadic music of the Sahara and a night under the stars in a private Saharan Berber tent after a lifetime camel trek through the Sahara desert of Merzouga.
This 4 Days Adventure Tour starts with a pick-up by an air-conditioned & comfortable vehicle at 08:00 AM from your accommodation in Marrakech and drive towards the Atlas Mountains. Our next stop will be Tichka pass to take some beautiful photos for the amazing landscape, then, continue to reach the fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou and its surroundings, explore the fortified village, marked as world heritage by unesco since 1987, then, lunch on site while we admire one of the most fascinating places.
After lunch, our journey continues by the road to reach El KalaaM’gouna, capital of the rose, continue through the road of 1000 kasbahs enjoying the beautiful architecture of the Jewish tradition, It is by the valley of the Roses and its sublime panoramas on the mountains and roses cut by the valley of Dades which gives life to a luxuriant vegetation to which cling many small traditional Berber villages, drive along the green valley to reach the top of Dades gorges, where we will spend the night in Riad.
After a traditional breakfast at your hotel, our 4 days desert tour will continue to Merzouga, we walk in the gorges of Todra and in the luxuriant palm grove of Tinghir, which stretches for about 30 km, Since its source springs rocks in the gorges, the water of the river is distributed all along the palm grove through the canals.
Continue east towards Tafilalet, the meeting point of old caravans. You have lunch in a local restaurant, and then continue to reach the city of Erfoud, known for its Goniatite quarries (fossilized black marble). After visiting a fossil site (optional) we will continue driving towards the great sand dunes of Merzouga and dunesof Erg Chebbi some of which reach 250 meters in height. Camel ride (about 1 and half hour) to enjoy a beautiful sunset over the dunes and join the bivouac, comfortable nomadic tents with private shower and toilet, for dinner and overnight.
Early wake up in the morning to enjoy a spectacular sunrise over the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi; and enjoy also atypical breakfast in Berber tent. Then departure for the Draa Valley via the city of Risani (cradle of the Alawite royal dynasty). And the Bougafer massif in the Anti-Atlas Mountians, stop for lunch in N’kob. After lunch, we will head towards Oouarzazate through the amazing landscapes and berber villages of Draa valley. We will arrive Ouarzazate in the evening.
On our last day trip on the 4 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. We will visit the famous Kasbah of Taourirt. After that, we will continue to the red city of Marrakech crossing the high atlas mountains through the Tizi N’tichka pass. On the slopes of the mountains, you will see amazing Berber villages and farms that blend in with the landscape. Arrival in Marrakech, End of our 4 Days Adventure Tour.
